چکیده
Abstract Ebstein’s anomaly is a rare congenital malformation of the right ventricle and tricuspid valve which characterized by several features that can exhibit an infinite spectrum malformation. The abnormalities include: i) adherence leaflets to underlying myocardium (failure delamination); ii) anterior apical rotational displacement functional annulus (septal > posterior leaflet); iii) dilatation atrioventricular junction (the true annulus) with variable degrees hypertrophy thinning wall; iv) “atrialized” portion ventricle; v) redundancy, fenestration, tethering leaflet.

Uhl's anomaly: A one and a half ventricular repair in a patient presenting with cardiac arrest.
Uhl's anomaly, first reported in 1952, is an extremely rare congenital cardiac defect characterized by partial or complete loss of the right ventricular myocardium and unknown etiology. Fewer than 100 cases have been described. The response to medical management is poor and there is no known ideal surgical approach or timing for treatment. We report the case of a previously active adolescent ma...

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

A 56-year-old patient with severe pulmonary hypertension developed severe tricuspid regurgitation, right-sided heart failure, and congestive hepatopathy. She was transferred for possible lung transplant and/or tricuspid valve surgery. Clinical and echocardiographic assessment provided confidence that acute tricuspid valve failure was responsible for the decompensation and that tricuspid valve r...

Successful transapical aortic valve replacement in a patient with a previous mechanical mitral valve replacement.
In this case we illustrate our experience with transapical minimal invasive aortic valve replacement in a patient who previously underwent mitral valve replacement. The implantation did not interfere with the existing prosthesis and could even be used as a further landmark, helping height positioning of the aortic valve.
